MP is not a translation service. Since we have had a number of requests for translation of articles into English, we have now established contact with people who can cover a number of languages. Should you require your manuscript to be translated into English, we can arrange for this to be done for certain languages. The fee charged will dependent on the difficulty of the task, the length and accuracy of expression of the original manuscript, and many other factors. We will be happy to provide an estimate of the cost, once we have assessed the work involved.

These services are supplementary to and developed from our scientific activity of publishing journals through organisations such as BioMed Central and Elsevier Science. We run at cost plus a small margin for development purposes, to facilitate the publication of scientific work directed towards "open access" journals. Costs will be higher and VAT will apply to non-educational/ research reports for commercial concerns.

The Open Society Institute actively encourages free publication of scientific papers. Authors from any of the 67 nominated countries belonging to the OSI may like to apply for financial help from this organisation.
